What is a Quote Retweet?
Let's get started! 😎
What is a retweet?
- A Retweet is a re-posting of a Tweet. Twitter's Retweet feature helps you and others quickly share that Tweet with all of your followers. You can Retweet your own Tweets or Tweets from someone else.
- Sometimes people type "RT" at the beginning of a Tweet to indicate that they are re-posting someone else's content. This isn't an official Twitter command or feature, but signifies that they are quoting another person's Tweet.
What is a quote retweet?
On Twitter, you're not just limited to sharing your own tweets. You can also share other people's tweets by retweeting. A retweet is just sharing another person's tweet on your own Twitter page, usually so others (your followers) can view the tweet as well.
A Quote Retweet is very similar to a Retweet.
While a simple retweet merely shares another person's tweet, a Quote Retweet lets you share another person's tweet and add your own comments to it.
Quote Retweets are sometimes also referred to as a "Retweet with comment." How to use Quote Retweets in Hypefury is explained in another helpdesk article.
