Problems connecting your Instagram account
Are you facing any issues connecting your Instagram account? Is your Instagram account not showing up on the pop-up window? Let's try to solve this by addressing some common issues.
For the Instagram integration to work properly, the Instagram account MUST be a Business account (not Creator) linked to a Facebook Page, not just a Facebook profile or account.
Go to Instagram and click on More > Settings
On the Settings page, click on Professional Account. If the account is set as Creator or something went wrong when you set it as a Business account, you will see the option to Switch to Business account.
Click on Switch to business account and then click on Switch in the pop-up.
Your Instagram Settings should look like this once the Instagram account is properly set as a Business account.
Go to Facebook and click on the profile picture in the upper right > See all profiles
You'll see a list of your pages and Facebook accounts, select the Facebook Page you want to connect to the Instagram account.
Once you switched to the Facebook page, click on the profile picture in the upper right corner again and click on Settings and Privacy > Settings
On the Settings page, click on Linked Accounts
If you have to connect your Instagram account to the Facebook page, you will see something like this:
Click on Connect Account and follow the steps to connect the Instagram account to the Facebook page.
Make sure you have the pop-ups enabled so you can log into your Instagram account.
Once your Instagram account is properly connected to the Facebook page, you should see it on the Linked Accounts page.
Try to link your Instagram account to Hypefury again following the steps from this article
Sometimes, when you previously linked a Facebook account to Hypefury, the wrong Instagram account is selected by default and automatically connected.
To solve this and see the list of Instagram accounts to choose the proper one just click on Edit Settings in the pop-up window.
