What is the difference between adding a manager and adding an additional account?

Managers and additional accounts both lets other users access to your account but they have different use cases and limitations. Below is a summary of the key difference between both.

Manager Accounts

Adding a manager is exclusive to the Creator and above plans. (Manager OR Client account must be on Creator, Business or Agency plan)
Subscriptions are not shared to your managers and vice versa.
Managers can only access the account they are added on even if you have additional accounts added.
There is no limit to how many managers you can add to your account.
You don't need to share the credentials to connect the accounts, they are connected using an invite link.

They have restricted access to your Billing information. While Additional Accounts are for your own accounts that you would like to share the same plan with.

Can you add the same user as a Manager and an Additional Account?

Yes. The same user can be added as both. During that case, they will be included in your limit and will be shared the subscription.
