What is the difference between adding a manager and adding an additional account?

Managers and additional accounts both lets other users access to your account but they have different use cases and limitations. Below is a summary of the key difference between both.

Manager Accounts



Adding a manager is exclusive to the Premium Plan. (Manager or Client account must be on Premium)
Managers allows you to make use of the Ghostwriting feature.
Subscriptions are not shared to your managers and vice versa.
Managers can only access the account they are added on even if you have additional accounts added.
There is no limit to how many managers you can add to your account.

Additional Accounts



Subscriptions are shared to each additional accounts.
The limit for each plan is 2 additional accounts for Standard and 5 additional accounts for Premium.
Each account can switch over to both the Parent and other additional accounts.

In summary, the managers are best used for assistants or content moderators as this gives them access to your account without handing over your login credentials. They will be able to take advantage of the Ghostwriting features and also have restricted access to your Billing information. While Additional Accounts are for your own accounts that you would like to share the same plan with.

Can you add the same user as a Manager and an Additional Account?



Yes. The same user can be added as both. During that case, they will be included in your limit and will be shared the subscription. At the same time, they will be able to use the Ghostwriting feature.
